I got oligohydramnios my last pregnancy at 37 weeks and had a c section at 38 weeks .
I was wondering what's the chances of it happening again did anyone get it again ?
I'm a bit worried

I think it would mainly depend on the reason you got it. My daughter had it when she died at 27 weeks. The MFM is checking my placentas carefully at 20 weeks to make sure they have implanted properly. She said if it doesn't have good implant, then you can get low fluid after 20 weeks. Are you going to see a high risk doctor?

Sorry for your loss
They never told me :( I think I might go sooner I'm worried

I was told I had it at 37 weeks with my first so I was induced, I had the opposite problem with my second (amongst lots of other issues though) and so far so good in this pregnancy although have another scan tomorrow.

They have never seemed concerned about my first pregnancy in subsequent ones so don't think they see it as a big problem. X

Thanks for your reply
Did you get extra scans because if it though ?

No, although with my second I had lots of problems which required extra scans.... The oligohydramnios from my first pregnancy has never ever been mentioned as a concern. They'll highlight it when going through risk factors and it'll be documented in your notes but not sure they would do anything else. X

thanks for your reply , il be asking at midwife when i next see her

I had it through my last pregnancy 10 yrs ago - DD had a kidney complication (which resolved itself by the time she was 2).

I had additional scans with this pregnancy (6,9,12,16,18,20,30,32 and 36wks) ... A little bit "overkill" in my opinion! Baby is fine, growing well with no sign of complications :)
