On clomid, AF late, does NOT ovulating cause absent AF?

I posted on assisted conception as well BUT looking for answers so posting here as well....

I am on clomid and am 5 days late for AF. I am never more then 2 days late.
I'm sure I felt OV pain on cd 19-20. ( 1st clomid cycle I OV'd on cd17, with AF 14 days later)
I also had redish pink spot( only when wiping,nver made it to pad) on 5DPO and 6, then brown for 2 more days. no cramps.

So my question is if I didn't OV then does that mena I will not get AF??

I have tested with IC and all negative.....
I'm just worried that I have to call Dr. and get meds to bring AF on.....and part of me thinks I may get a late positive..ughhhhh
I am not symptom spotting as I know clomid miics preggo .. BUT I have been dead tired every day this week.

You can still get AF without ovulating. Though it may take longer. I ovulated every time i took clomid but the dates of ovulation varied a bit. I'd say keep testing every week till you get a positive or af shows. Do you temp? That can clue you in as to whether you have ovulated.

On another note... I believe I was in a ttc group with you back in the day something to do with shamrocks or st patty's day. Can't remember the name.

Thanks for your thoughts. Its been an incredibly difficult couple of months. Having my son has made it easier.

I was hoping when I saw your name that I see some update as to how your ttc has been going. Do you have a ttc journal? I feel out of the loop with how things have been going with you since it's been so long.

I haven't started a journal.....I have the attention span of a 3 yr old..LOL
and if I did it would be the same old same old..2ww af 2ww af 2ww af...ect haha
so heres my las few yrs in a ut shell....

I ended up quitting my job July 09 so we could TTC without stress....I also found out I had a blocked tube.
we eloped Nov09 and had a honeymoon in Cuba. TTC started up again in Dec...
.our last month trying naturally( before I called my fertility specialist) I finially caught an egg...
I was so surprised as it was a "half assed TTC cycle" lol
at our 8 week scan they found bean had implanted way to high in my cervix....so had a D&C plus methotrixate.....
ha 3 month wait to TTC again was brutal....
I had tube removed....and am now on clomid.....
and now have a screwed up cycle.....not sure if from clomid or just stress....

Oh and as you can see from my profile pic, we had a family wedding oct 11.

and now i am just waiting it out.....
IUI planned atfer this next clomid cycle...fingers crossed I don't need it...

SO you had an ectopic? Did you have hubby's sperm checked? I'm so sorry you lost a baby to.

We tried for a while to have our son found out about a year in that my husband has male factor but I am healthy. Were on the wait list for ICSI when we got pregnant naturally after being told it would never happen. 9 months later my son was born. We decided to ttc as soon as my period came back, which it did at 3 months pp despite exclusively bf'ing but hey I was happy. We also decided that if we didn't get pg by the time our son was about a year that we'd get back on the wait list for ICSI. Time came and went no baby 2 so we did ICSI and got pregnant only to loose her at 18 weeks which was jan 13 of this year. My period showed her face yesterday exactly 5 weeks pp and we're now a month into the 2-3 month wait list to do a frozen transfer.

My body seems to regulate fast no matter what I do but I think it is normal for your cycle to become messed up after a loss. When I took clomid I found they shortened my slightly longer cycles to the normal length so it's possible the messed up cycle could be from the loss, I would think it wasn't the clomid. Stress can also be the culprit to.

So do you know when you ovulated? or when the witch should show or when you can see if you're pg? Oh wait... see first post.

I'd stalk your journal if you had one, it's nice to see the ltttc'ers get their bfp. You could always pop by mine every blue moon to let me know how you're getting on especially if your clomid works!

So af was due the weekend we were going away so I think my stress delayed it....by at least a week now...
sure wish my mind had the opposite effect on getting pregnant.....

Have you done a pg test in the last day or so? I know how frustrating a delayed cycle can be.

I just took my first clomid this morning. Bring on the hot flashes.

hot flashes, insomnia, mood swings, and pregnancy symptoms..YAY clomid....oh ya also thin lining and dry CM....
Its awesome..haha I think the thin lining is from long term use..hoping anyway..thats my biggest worry!

I have been testing almost every day with some heapies.....pure white not even a shadow of line..... I have a FRER that I am saving for 1 week late....then it will be Dr.s office week ater if still no AF....

So when are you a week late then? Your ticker is confusing me. I didn't know clomid could give you a thin lining, I've only taken it a few times to keep my cycles a bit shorter plus if I release an extra egg or two it can't hurt, one more egg for dh's poor sperm to find.. it's got to be easier or up our chances if even just barely.

I am officially a week late today. Negtive test again...... 'm only going to test friday then net sunday.....then call my Dr.
My ticke is right for cd's but not right for ovulation....so if it says 25dpo then its really 22dpo.

I only have 1 tube so my Dr. prescribed clomid so I would Ov from both sides, guarenteeing Ov from good side...days 5-9 so I get a good strong BIG egg.
in theory anyway. on my 2nd cycle.
I had such high hopes for it......Im at highest dosage too...so wonder if thats making me all wonky?!

What days are you taking it? and dosage?
I'm older so thats why I am taking it later so I get mature eggs insead of multiple eggs....
I take mine at night and only sympom I get is insomnia and a bit hot at night but thas because OH folds duvet between us and cooks me..
haha....

I'm on it cd2-6 to make multiple eggs since I ovulate regularly, I take the lowest dose at 50. When I took 100 one month it pushed my ovulation later so maybe that could be it? But because my cycles are normally 34-35 days when on the lowest dose I think my cycle was about 29 days which makes me happier I don't have to wait as long. I take mine in the morning since I'd rather sleep but am already having issues with sleeping from everything we went through with the fetal surgery and the loss of Hannah.
