So I've been only nursing my toddler once a day at bedtime for about 4 months? My cycles are very regular and I think I'm ovulating normally (I use opks and this is the second month of temping).

This is our 4th month ttc for #2 and I'm in the lovely tww now.

My gut feeling is bf'ing once a day isn't doing anything to my cycle, but we got pregnant so quickly with my son. Do you think bf'ing could be messing with anything?

My temps aren't always the best (I'm a terrible sleeper and wake up often), so sometimes I double guess the validity of the temp that morning.

Anyone? Perhaps I should post in a different section?

My toddler breast feeds 3 times a day and 2-3 times at night and it's not effecting my cycle one bit. I still ovulate between day 14-16 and my period comes exactly 14-16 days after I ovulate ! Also it took me 3 years to concieve ds and 1 month to concieve dd. Biology is weird sometimes, all you can do is keep trying ! Personally I don't think breastfeeding once a day is messing up your ovulation timing, try listing to your body rather than rely on opks. I get really horny a few days before I ovulate, I also look slimmer around my waist line and feel sexy in general. Sex is very slippy and on the day I ovulated I feel a bit tender in my low abdomen which I assume is my ovaries releasing an egg. Hth

Thanks! I didn't really think 1x a day could mess things up, but you never know. :)

Ya I don't think it sounds like it is affecting your cycle at all! I wouldn't worry too much. The first time we tried it only took two cycles (resulted in mc) but the second time it took 4 cycles. It feels like an eternity at the time, but it's all very normal. Give it a couple more months and don't stress! :)

I feed only once a day and have very regular cycles.I don't think it makes much of a difference to ovulate. As previous people I am definitely aware around ovulation time.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully this is my month! 7dpo... :coffee:
