My one month old will fall asleep for many hours at a time but when he's awake he seems to be non-stop screaming and it's either a poopy diaper or desire to feed, and then after he's fed, he burps and spits up a LOT more than usual. Is this normal for this age, or is there something I can do to help space out the feedings and dirty diapers?

Sorry I should say almost one month old :)

It's normal for baby that age to poop and feed after every wake up. Spitting could be normal or indicative of other issues. If he's crying after you've changed and fed him and there's nothing obviously wrong, I would look for a medical reason, common ones being reflux or wind.

^ I second that.

At one month that's generally all a baby needs. Now she's 6 weeks my lo doesn't poop as much finally! But at a month that's all she wanted to do is poop and eat and scream.

Is he still gaining weight properly? He could be over eating. If im not careful my girl will stay on the boob for ages and spit up loads as she takes on too much.
