One poo every two days?

Is it normal?

My sis says her son poos twice a day sometimes and I seem to remember my son pooing once-twice a day.

She's on hungry baby milk and i know this can cause constipation, but if we put her back on stage 1 she'll prob b eating 8-9oz and getting tired half way if she's eating 5 ox every 3 hrs of stage 2??

Also when she does go it's healthy, you know loose not lumpy or hard, so is she constipated or just slow to pass it through. It does tend to b huge when she has one as it fills the nappy right up?

i would say if its a healthy poo, then its fine, thats her normal pattern. I wouldnt worry, sounds ok to me x

yeah it is fine, all babies are different, my midwife said to try tummy massage if you are worried, clockwise around the belly button and lift the legs up whilst you do this, x x x
some babies even go as long as 4 days and then they have a poo explosion x x x
you'll find the older baby gets the more they poo, well at least tj has been lol x x x x

luisa usually poo's 2-3 times a day but yesterday she didnt poo all day.. last poo was 10pm on sat night,

she then went at 8am this morning and it was like an explosion! i had changed her nappy 15 mins earlier so know it wasnt there long!

she then went at 10 and again at 11.30!! and lastly at 4pm so im wondering if thts it for a few days lol!!!

LO poos sometimes 6 times a day lol, but it's a lump here and a lump there! Wish she'd do one decent one a day ? But i have heard bottle fed babies can be days apart, keep a diary of how often she does it for you, then it'll be good to look back on when she went last, and what her pattern is

sometimes Alexander poos once a day, sometimes he poos once every 3 days. I think all babies are different and go through changes all the time that it is hard to narrow down a pattern.

if its a healthy poop and normal colored i would say don't worry about it!

Yeah thats fine aslong as she doesnt seem in pain when going ect. I wouldnt worry!

Grady seems to poo every other day. Usually a huuge poop. But no issues with him being really mad about it or anything.
Since being on formula, its' been normal for him to go every other day.

Leo poops once evry 2/3 days usually around 1-3 am in the morning and its a big huge explosion!

May I ask you ladies please........

Theo does a poop everyday with help, do your babies strain an awful lot? Like after every feed and nothing comes of it? Then when you help or it does happen theres loads. Theo poop os soft, and theres loads when I help him....but he is always straining, sometimes really bad x

Can I ask what it is you do to "help" your baby to go? Water?

My daugher used to strain all the time but never pooped...it was when she went really still and quiet that we knew she was doing something!
Most babies tend to make a big deal about pooping because it is a weird sensation for them, but as long as they are not in a lot of pain and thier poo's are not hard, they should manage to go on thier own.
