One tomorrow. Egg whites in a cake? Would it be OK to give her a tiny bit?

I thought I read something about no egg whites for X amount of time. Lily is a little behind with weaning, she has never had anything but fruits, veggies, yogurt, two plain saltine crackers once, plain pasta and cheerios.

Could I let her have a small cube of white cake (made with egg whites)? I really have no idea.

Eggs are absolutely fine! Especially cooked up in a cake!

Babies can eat everything except honey (poisoning) & whole nuts (choking). My LO had scrambled egg the other morning & she's a few days off 6months.

Leg her have some, hope she likes it!

it's cake, it's cooked, it's fine! it's the sugar you should be worried about! (which in a small piece is fine too.)
Lo has been eating eggs for a while, usually eggy bread which she really likes.

Unless any concerns about allergies I can't see the problem my first was eating omelettes, scrambled egg etc. Before age one

Dd1 was eating omelettes etc at 6mths. It will be totally fine!

I gave my LO eggs within the first week of weaning - at six months. We have no family history of allergies though.

I am a bit cavalier in my attitude towards food allergies though; he also had peanut butter and wheat within the same week!

DD has had eggs from 6 months with no problems hope she enjoys it and has a great day

Cool! Thanks guys. No one in our family has any history of allergies. I bet she will not like it, haha. She doesn't like fruit too much (too sweet?) but I am so curious to see

When Thomas was a baby, the advice here was no egg whites before one. Now it seems fine that whole eggs are consumed from 6 months.

Doesn't she like food much? Sophie doesn't like fruit either...loves broccoli!

Eggs are absolutely fine.

My lo got eggs at six months. However, no more eggs as she seems to have developed a sensitivity and they make her barf.

She likes certain foods, but refuses many. Broccoli is a huge hit here too....Cheerios are a close second. We just keep offering her things, she'll figure it out.
