one year!

So happy that we made it to 1 year bf! We had such a rough start, small baby, weight loss and low blood sugar waiting for my milk to come in, sleepy, jaundiced, wouldn't latch until 2 weeks old, pumping and supplementing by syringe, flat nipples, cluster feeding for hours every night for what felt like ages but once we figured it out there was no looking back. So glad we were so determined to make it work

Congrats!!
It was tricky for us at first too. I had a cannula in my hand in hospital, so the nurses did it for me. The day I got him DS was screaming for 20 minutes straight he was so hungry. I was in tears and felt like it wasn't possible. Then came engorgement, oversupply, cluster feeding and comfort sucking. Although it's still early days for us, I'm so glad I stuck to it!
