opinions on the name Avenna..

hello
we're goin through IVF and so have obviously started talking about names with DH and our family who knows.
Both me and hubby like Avenna for a girl and mentioned it to his mum who absolutely hated it -and didnt hold back when expressing her hatred for the name!!

Please be honest, what do you think of it??

Personally, I think its beautiful. Very unusual but easy to pronounce If you like it go for it, don't let anybody else put you off the name XXX

I like it. And even if someone doesn't like it, ignore them. It'll be your baby not theirs. I heard a lot of bad things about calling him Kenneth that it was too old fashioned, but I can't imagine him any other name! go with your heart. And good luck with the IVF

I think its pretty but does make me think of the "Aveeno" skin care products here in the states....not that I should talk because we will probably name our little girl Allegra (which is an allergy medicine)....People will get over it though.

We had some friends name their little girl Aven.

i think its pretty ignore anyone who puts it down as its up tp you and your husband to choose the name and if you love it then everyone else will learn to love it, if not then its their loss. x

Not sure i'm saying it right though -- Is it "a-veen-a" or "a-ven-na"?

I love a lot of similar names, and have had them on our list at one point or another: Ava, Avianna, Avery, Vienna

I love avianna!
But yeah I would pronounce it A-ven-na. But I like both way.
Is the aveeno pronounced a-veen-o? Never even heard of it. Although that doesn't bother me much. Loads of name have worse connotations that a medicine! Ha xx

i like it... My mum wasnt keen on my son's name when i told her our name choices as it was unusual then (kian) but now she loves it!
