Opinions on this boys name....

Hi girls, I think me and hubby may have finally agreed on a name that we both like today but it isn't the most common of names so I just wanted your thoughts and opinions please....

Jet Thomas Lee

I really like it, I wanted something totally different to my first son's name and a little quirkier. Thomas is after my Grandad who died in February (same month this baby was conceived) We don't plan on telling our families our chosen name until he is born so would be good to know if it sounds ok.

Thank you ladies, I wasn't sure if it was too abstract as the only 2 people I know with the name are Jet Li (the Chinese martial arts actor) and John Travoltas son -who sadly passed away at 16. But on a happier note, we do really like the name and I too had been pondering about whether to spell it with two t's but hubby seems to like one, so will think about it some more...

We are still undecided! I love this name but hubby likes the name Harvey and there is one other I have thought of as I was looking up meanings and came across 'healer' which is Jason and this is quite significant to me as I had hepatitis b for two years and when I became pregnant I thought it would affect the pregnancy then it turned out that the virus (which was chronic) had sero-converted (totally cleared up!) and my consultant recently told me that pregnancy can sometimes cause a reaction in the body which can affectively eliminate certain illnesses! I would never have imagined it to be possible but it has amazed and delighted me! My Hubby is worried people will draw comparisons with the Chinese actor Jet Li, especially with his older brother being callled Brandon Lee - will people think we are obsessed with Kung Fu flicks??

Anyway so our final short list is......

Harvey Lee??

Jet Lee??

Jason Lee??

I will attempt to make a poll now so we can finally make a decision!!

I love Jason and love the meaning. I like Harvey.

Would spell Jett with two t's but really not that keen on it.

I'd go for Jett, rather than Jet, just think it looks more masculine! Maybe just me!

I think the name is nice but with your last name I think you are setting him up for a hard life of comparisons to Jet Li....

If I was a bully in school that would be the FIRST thing I would pick on him about...just saying...you gotta think about those things.

I agree with what FayDanielle said, Jett is more masculine if you do decide to stick with that name.

I really like Jet [but with a double t!] And i've never heard of Jet Li. I wouldn't really worry about him getting bullied, he's a completely new generation and the chances are none of his friends will know this martial arts actor!

I am really swaying towards this name now, mentioned it to my therapist and she said the two names together sound nice. Also, no one will guess it before he is born lol! I have decided I would spell it with two t's now with your advice!!

I do like the name Jet but I wouldn't go for it personally if my surname was Lee ..

The same with Jason Lee, because isn't he the guy from dogma and mallrats?

I hate to say it but I do think he would be picked on! I disagree that they wouldn't know who Jet Li is .. He's pretty famous!
