I plan to ask my doctor but thought I'd ask here as well.

Oral surgery during pregnancy - yes or no?

I know they say it's ok to get dental work done while pregnant as poor dental health can potentially have negative effects on the pregnancy or fetus. I've had several fillings done as novocaine is listed as ok while pregnant. However, my dentist has referred me to an oral surgeon to have 5 teeth extracted. 3 wisdom teeth and 2 others. Is it okay to go ahead and schedule that appointment or no?

I had a root canal done when I was pregnant with my son. I was given freezing and my son was born perfectly healthy.

I would expect it is fine if you have been referred for it. If you are unsure ask your doctor to confirm it is ok.
