what other foods can you use to bulk out sauces? I've made a few sauce purees for Hannah but the only thing I can think of to serve them with is pasta :dohh: I'd prefer it be something that she can feed herself (she will hardly eat these days if finger foods aren't involved

Noodles, rice em.....mash potatoe?!?!?

Hard one vickie! XX

errrrm that is hard, you could try veg or chicken and noodles! xxx

Baby new potatoes, home made potato wedges/chips/fries, pitta bread, breadsticks etc.

This site seems quite nice

and of course there's the old favourite....

I have a fab book called Finger Food for Babies and Toddlers....it's fantastic and the recipes are great for adults as well as children. The lady who wrote it, wrote it because her child wouln't allow anyone to feed her and so she became reliant on fingerfoods:happydance:

Stir fried veg, roasted veg, homemade potato wedges, strips of chicken or pork, meatballs, chopped up good-quality sausages, fish fingers, potato cakes, various vegetable fritters, strips of tortilla, chopped up omelette, hard boiled eggs, spread the sauce on ciabatta bread and grill?

Couscous is another idea, it bulks up sauces really well.

I would just try some diced up cooked veggies, meats...also the rice and potatoes are good

I dice up potatoes and carrots really tiny and cook them then add to Daisy's meals xxx

might do the potatoes :D Hannah only eats carrots though if they are hidden
