Ovarian cyst in pregnancy?

Has anyone else had a large ovarian cyst in pregnancy?

It's not a corpus leutum 'normal' pregnancy cyst it's apparently displaying differently, it's large and causing pain and they aren't sure if it's twisted on the ovary or if it was there before the pregnancy, or if it was caused by the pill I was taking, but regardless they 'may' want to remove it?

Has anyone had one removed during pregnancy before?

Hi. I had a large multiocculated ovarian cyst in my first pregnancy. It was picked up around 7 weeks and was about 6cm then I think. It may have been there some time. The corpus leutum cyst was on the other ovary.

The kept an eye on it with regular scans and I had a tumour marker blood test, which came back normal. They discussed removing it during the second trimester, which is the safest time to do so, but I decided against it. In my case though it wasn't causing symptoms.
At 25 weeks they said it was decreasing in size and no longer a concern.

At 42 weeks I had an emergency c section (unrelated reasons) and they found it hadn't shrunk after all and was over 12cm. They had to drain it to close me up.

A follow up scan 6 months later showed it had returned and was 8cm. I had it removed a few months later.
