Hi there.
I posted about a month ago thinking I might have been pregnant, but recently I found out that I had Ovarian Cysts, and that can look a bit like early pregnancy symptoms it seems. :)
I don't know why I felt the need to share, I just thought this information might be useful to somebody! I hope so anyway.
The first sign I should have noticed was the abdominal swelling.
Then came the irregular spotting.
And not long after that nausea and cramps.
Loss of appetite.
Finally after all that the vomiting started.
That's when It was time for a trip to the doctors and then A&E.
They took my appendix just in case, because it sounded like appendicitis. Later I was admitted again for more pain and vomiting, plus it hurt really bad when I tried to have sex. That's when they found the cyst with an ultrasound.
If anyone's worried. I was told cysts aren't dangerous or life threatening, they just aren't pleasant sometimes. hope this helped anyone who might be experiencing the same thing. ^_^ Sorry if this is in the wrong place! xx

Oh wow- that's one nasty cycst! I've gotten little one from time to time- and they can certainly hurt. I had one last month that about took me to my knees! But never more than a sharp/dull pain.

So sorry it was rough- hope your much better now! :hugs:

Sorry to hear! I know the feeling, it can stop you in your tracks. Lucky they're not serious or anything. :)

Yeah. It wasn't nice. I hope it's over now, but I'm still feeling nauseous getting unpleasant cramps. :(

My wife was 3 weeks late for her last period. She took 4 home pregnancy tests as she was experiencing all early pregnancy symptoms e.g. nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. But all were negative. When we went for a check up, doc found out an ovarian cyst on her left ovary, which was a root cause of all these problems.

Doc explained to us, cysts are generally painless, but can occasionally cause pain as they enlarge, especially if they rupture, causing a small amount of bleeding which can be observed as spotting/irregular bleeding. Sudden, sharp abdominal pain, fever, and nausea might be there if a cyst becomes twisted or ruptures.

Even though they are painless, they need to be properly addressed. If left untreated, it can lead to life threatening complications. Now, depending on our next scan, we are working out the treatment option, whether to go for surgical removal or not. Doc said it may disappear on its own without any treatment.
