Oven Pride. Am I allowed to have an oven to be proud of???

I'm sorry if theres been previous posts regarding this but I like a fresh opinion!

Basically, I am leaving my rented house for our very own Family Home (yay) but before I leave I need to clean the oven. It hasn't been done for 4 mths and we use it a lot so it's a bit (alot) gross. I don't have the faith in my other half to clean it to the standard that I would... (I'm a bit of a clean freak!)

Now to me, I don't find Oven Pride fumey at all. Not like Mr Muscle that u can feel burning ur lungs! I've got an old Oven Pride box that I can't find anything referring to pregnant ladies... Is it safe or no?

Make sure you ventilate the room first and if I were you Id shove a mask on (Im not normally over precautious but oven cleaners normally give off lots of fumes so in this instance I would be) x

Yes windows and doors will be open! Most of it goes in a sealed bag anyways doesn't it... I'll pay someone to come and clean the one in our new house lol

I got forced back to life by having to pack... Seein the boxes and bags everywhere stresses me right out so I've had to clean n tidy as ive gone along. Worst is, we have to move to my patents while our house goes thru, and then move again! I'm going to be grey by the end of it!

There's definite positives to moving while pregnant... My OH wont let me carry anything for starters! Lol. I didn't really want to leave my little house but our bedroom doesn't have room for a cot and it wouldn't be fair to put baby in with my 8yr old... And my OH decide it was time to grow up and get a mortgage... :shrugs:

lol yeah defo moving when preg has it advantages.
We live in the middle of nowhere, basically in a field lol. We are renting so hopefully wont be too long until we can afford to buy something. I feel like (and a lot of friends have told me) that I am going to be lonely as there is nowhere really to walk too. Hopefully it will be ok! x

Pregnancy can be a lonely time... Look for mother and baby groups in your area tho! My sister made loads of new friends when she took my nephew. It's easier to arrange things with others who are in the same boat an also off work... My best friend is due a week after me so I'm lucky that way. But she flat refuses to walk anywhere so I'll be out with my iPod on by myself.

Yea it's nice gettin to do pregnancy things with. There's another girl in our group who's gone the other way tho. Only hear from her if she's got something she deems 'brag worthy' even her parents tried it when they bumped into my oh! Babies turn some people crazy competitive...

I have no experience with Oven Pride cleaner, the best oven cleaner I've -ever- encountered hands down is pure Ammonia... pour some in a bowl, set in oven... close door, (don't turn on) ...leave for 30min or so and when you remove the bowl, the stuff in the oven just wipes off ...its amazing.

Best part is that the bit with the ammonia & bowl, your OH could do easily enough so that you're not handling the chemicals at all lol

Yeah some people are really funny arn't they. Oh well her loss I say! None of my firends are pregnant so hoping to make new friends when I start antenatel classes! x
