Only to say don't panic!! I was 40 when dd was born and my next door neighbour's LO who has just turned 1 was born when she was 45! I have a 17 year old and a 19 year old too and it's just all been the most wonderful thing that could ever have happened to any of us.

Both dd and my neighbour's son are totally healthy with no problems; I had pre-eclampsia at 36 weeks but we managed to make it to 38 weeks before she had to be induced and it was all very undramatic!

You'll get loads of extra care and monitoring because of being over 40 and they can keep a good eye on your blood pressure and help you keep it under control - you may well have more straightforward pregnancy than your last one!! There's loads of time to work out your delivery options too.

My older two dote on her :cloud9::hugs::hugs:

Congratulations grandma and ,,new mom,,again! You are so blessed to have a todler grandchild and now you will have a playmate for him/her.
Sometimes things just work out, and maybe this was the right time for you to have a baby, since there will be two little ones in a family that can grow together, becuase other siblings are much older.

Congratulations to your pregnancy!...I am sure you will be fantastic mom again.
:hugs:

My consultant told me they delivered a naturally conceived, naturally delivered baby for a 52 year old woman last week!

Congratulations and best of luck xxx

I will be 40 next month due in March and have a 24 step daughter and a 22 and 21 year old so I feel ya. It was quite a shock in the beginning I am 6 1/2 months and have accepted and feel it will be a blessing. It took a bit to get here though the hormones don't help. I have felt clueless and lost everything has changed still feel like that but am constantly learning. Definitely will change everything but wouldn't change it. Can def feel the difference in my body not as easy this time. I had just accepted being a nana myself now a momma again. All has been well with appointments looks good on u/s
