Ovulation Bleeding

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced ovulation bleeding. I was reading a bit about it and the bleeding I experienced seems to match the bleeding that goes along with ovulation bleeding. I understand this to be uncommon however my signs/symptoms seemed to match. The blood was brown in color, it contained a mixture of blood and "egg-white, stretchy" mucus, light bleeding, and lasted for 2 days. Just days before the bleeding occurred, I was experiencing very sore nipples.
Since this was the first time for me having these symptoms I didn't even think of ovulation. I unfortunately did not have sex during this time but did about 2 days after.
Can anyone tell me if this sounds like ovulation in any way? I hope so......I typically don't ovulate because of my condition but doctor said "never say never, with your condition, anything can happen".

I had brownish "old" looking spotting on CD11 and a peak cbfm/opk on CD12. I have never had ovulation or mid-cycle spotting ever before, and it was also my first cycle using the ovulation sticks.
You aren't alone!

For the first cycle since ttc (3 years) I actually had spotting around ovulation and pretty much nearly every day throughout the tww last month. Check out my FF chart. I'm not sure what caused it but I spoke to my gp who said it was probably down to stress and the endometriosis I have (but to be honest I don't buy that latter because it's never happened before).

Not to self diagnose or anything but I did drink a lot of raspberry tea in the weeks leading up to ovulation which I think might have had a part in the spotting. Plus I upped my dosage of royal jelly from 200mg to 500mg. Either way I'm now in the next cycle, and not long off ovulation again so I'm hoping it was just a one off.

It does sound like potential ovulation, the reason why you might spot around ovulation is progesterone (which causes your lining to thicken). It causes hormonal changes. One other explanation is the egg bursting from the follicle can sometimes cause a teensy bit of blood to travel through the cervix and become visible to you.

You could always ask your GP for cd 21 bloods in a weeks time. Basically they will check your progesterone levels and if it falls within a certain range it means you ovulated (you've probably already had this test done but just in case you've not it's handy to know)
