Ovulation Microscope?

Ok, so I am getting desperate now, everyone around me is either just had a baby, or is pregnant.... I have been poas for over a year and no bfp.... so I have been looking at other methods for helping to detect ovulation as my periods are so irregular.

I have found one that requires saliva, and you use a microscope to look at it? It's called Babystart FertilFocus Ovulation Microscope. Has anyone heard of it? Used it? Had any success with it?

Well, I'm assuming that no one had heard/used the microscope as you were the only one who replied, so I have purchased it. It arrived today. My first impression was 'this seems a bit crap', as it seemed a bit cheap. But never the less, I will give it a go. I tested it straight away and now it doesn't seem so bad.... Having said that I had a drink not long before hand which it said could interfer with results..... so, I will start properly tomorrow, and i will use it in conjunction with opk's. I'll let you know how I get on!

I know this post is a bit old, but how was your experience with the scope, a1b2c3? Hoping it went well for you.

I purchased the FertileFocus microscope last month and thought the same thing when I first received it. It was a little disappointing at first, but I still made sure to test every morning before brushing my teeth (although trying to collect a bubble free sample and deciphering between lint and ferning was a pain in the butt in my sleepy stupor).

At about CD12, I noticed transitional ferning, but wasn't entirely convinced. Then, on CD14 I noticed full ferning and DH and I made sure to DTD that night and the night after. I still have about 9 days left to test so we will see!

How are you liking it so far?

I used one for a while but gave up on it because I never got the darn ferns even though blood tests say i ovulate... friends have used it successfully though

I must confess, I gave up. It always looked the dam same! Mind of felt like I wasted my money.

But I am about to start chlomid (well if af ever shows up) so maybe I will give it another go.


What with chlomid, saliva monitor, opks, bloods, ultrasounds all at once.... Hopefully something positive will happen! If it doesn't than I haven't got a clue what next unless you lovely ladies have any suggestions? X

My periods are extremely irregular and OPK sticks are apparently not great for people with irregular periods. I started charting this cycle too as BBT. So hopefully I should know when to time my BD in time for ovulation.

Does anyone feel the position their cervix? I have just started trying but do not really now how to judge it well, any advice is welcome.

For testing your cervix it's all about comparison, it will generally feel about the same until a few days before ovulation. Around ovulation it will be harder to get to because it's higher and it will feel more like pressing on your lips (soft). All the other times it will be closer and easier to get to and feel more like the tip of your nose (firm).
