Ovulation pain

Can anyone describe to me what ovulation pains feel like? I dont think iv ever noticed myself ovulate so i was just wondering what it feels like, is it just cramp?

What I felt last month on the day I was suppose to be ovulating was a slight twinging on my left side right around the inside of my hip bone. It lasted a couple hours and got a little sharp a few times but was mostly dull achy feeling on just the one side. Hope that helps some.
