Hi

Could anyone help! I had to have an ERPC a few days ago. Although im not bleeding (is this normal??) im having severe pains. They're very similar to period pains although very sharp to point that they are keeping me awake and doubling me over!
Ive exhausted google trying to find out whats normal and what isnt. Any info/advice would be great.

Thanks Lucy x

Hi Lucy.

Firstly I'm so sorry to hear you had to have an ERPC.

I think you should phone your GP and see what he/she says, hopefully there is an out of hours service on a saturday. If you are in pain you should get medical advice.

I had an ERPC in May and bled for 10 days, I think the time can depend from person to person, but the fact that you are doubled over in pain does not sound good. I had very little discomfort after my procedure with the exception of one day - about 6 days after -when I did have strong contraction pains, but this was accompanied with heavier bleeding and it only lasted an hour.

Definetly call your doctor or go into A+E if you can't get through to a Doctor today.

Try not to worry to much and I hope everything is ok. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

thank you so much for your advice, i did what you said apparently its normal i just have to now take a cocktail of painkillers. Im so sorry you have had the experience of an ERPC too.

Hi Lucy, sorry to hear of your loss. You should bleed around 10 days after an ERPC. I had mine in May and I bled for 14 days. I didn't really have any pain but I hear some mild cramping is usual.

Glad to hear you are ok, hope your recovery is easy and your cycle gets back to normal soon.

Hi Lucy

Welcome to BnB...sorry to hear that you have had an ERPC.

I had an ERPC last Sept for my 1st mc. (I had a medical management for my second mc this May). I bled light/medium for a week after my ERPC and had discomfort and a few period type pains for that first week. My AF came about 3 weeks after I stopped bleeding.

I hope you feel better soon...I have found this site very helpful in dealing with my mc's as you can talk to others who can empathise and relate to what you are going through and you can share experiences and get advice and support.

Take care

 x
