Pain but no tightenings?

I've had 2 sweeps so far (can't go overdue as have back problems) the last was yesterday. I lost my plug on Thursday and more today with bloody show. About 2 hours ago, I started to get pain low down, it felt like period pain, now I'm getting it further up. It's sore but not unbearable and pretty much constant. I haven't had any tightenings though. Could this be very early labour or would there have to be tightenings?

I'm unsure, as when my labour started there was no pain

My beginning contractions with DD were just period pains with no tightenings

Thats exactly how it started for me... But lasted for 2 days before my water broke.
