I have a question about pain-killers and TTC. I heard that taking ibuprofen is not good while pregnant, especially during the first trimester (something to do with the placenta not being able to "take"). Is this correct? Is there any medication that would be ok to take? Maybe paracetomol? I think I have the flu, and I'm trying not to take anything, but I'm struggling now. AF due next week, so I'm trying to hold off, just in case...

Any ideas?

You can take paracetomol whist pregnant so paracetomol whist TTC will be fine!

Tbh most times I took what I needed whist TTC.

Great. Thanks. DH is off to the pharmacy now (would I do without him??!)

That should have been "What would I do without him"!! I'm delerious!

Get some lemsips too ;)

Hope you feel better soon

Had to look that up - Paracetamol is acetaminophen, over here the brand name is Tylenol. I take Tylenol for pain regularly (shoulder bursitis and tendinitis) and I'm glad to know it's safe; I thought it was, but confirmation is always good!
