Hey ladies! I've been getting a pain in my stomach the last few days it's like stitch or pulled muscle and can be tender to touch it radiates around my belly button. My midwife is not concerned and I have felt him move but I'm not sure what it is I didn't have this with my DD. Could it be the internal scar aching from stretching? Any one relate with pregnancy after a csection?

Around your belly button that likely is not C-Section pain...or do you have a vertical scar?

Tender spots sound like IBS or intestinal pain from Gluten and such. I had a mild Gluten sensitivity which feels more painful in pregnancy with my intestines being moved up. I don't get any digestive issues from Gluten, just painful spots in my intestines which can feel like a pulled muscle when I move wrong.

Agreed that it doesn't sound like a typical c- section scar pain. If you had the normal bikini line one then the inner scaring will remain in the same area.

I had soreness around my navel a few weeks back which lasted a day or two, and I associated it with the uterus raising above it. Have had a slightly shallower and wider navel ever since.

I do know that your uterus stretching can be more uncomfortable after a section because of scar tissue on the actual uterus, but I agree it seems a little high for that

I had a very low incision at the bikini line, so I honestly have no pain or discomfort. My section was 4 1/2 years ago though, so that might make a difference too. My belly button DOES feel stretched though, because it is stretching outward, which is something we all enjoy. lol

Must of been stretching pains! Was around the time baby boy has a growth spurt makes sense. Just never experienced with DD but then no pregnancy is the same hey... Thanks for the replies ladies :)

I've had 1 natural birth and 2 previous csections(one vertical), and didn't have any discomfort from the incision or scar tissue at all. However I will say that each pregnancy has just been very different. Aches and pains I'm more aware of because it's a 'been there done that' sort of thing. Our bodies have done this before. Growing and stretching can sometimes be more intense with the more babies you have. That's what my experience has been so far at least
