I am 15 weeks post section, and I can tell you YES ITS NORMAL TO HAVE PAIN!. I just got up from settee a bit quick and my right side by my wound gave me a lovely pain. I went to a concert where i danced a little and yes I had pain. I thought after 3 months everything would be 'normal' so when my lo had his injections I had a word with my nurse, she said to me its totally normal to still feel post operative pain for up to a year!. you have to remember how many layers the surgeons had to cut through to get to your uterus to get to your baby. It is major abdominal surgery at the end of the day, and yes when im in pain I dont feel like DTD, my DH understands and gets me some painkillers and a drink with no pressure for sex at all. Your OH seems a little careless of the extent of what happened to you only 10 weeks ago. if it was any other major surgery drs advise people to be on rest for 6 weeks- this cannot happen with a newborn, so healing is going to be slower. all your OH needs to do is research it on the internet.
annoying OH aside, if your wound is oozing anything out of it or showing signs of opening PLEASE PLEASE go to your gp as you will need antibiotics. This happened to me 1 week after the op, more predominantly on my right side which is where i still get the pain. But if not, when it hurts take some painkillers try not to lift the next day apart from your baby of course.
I hope this information helps
