So, everything i've read about braxton hicks contractions says they aren't painful..... LIES!!! I had really painful periods for years (before I was pregnant obviously:haha:) and these are EASILY ten times worse, lol. They haven't stopped for the past week, and it's definetely not early labour, lmao. If these are just dummy runs, how the hell am I going to cope with proper contractions???? Anyone else had anything like this?

oh no... well I'm sorry they're so painful for you.. but you'll do fine (i say that for reassurance for myself as well, because I already don't think i'll be able to give birth)

I feel your pain Hun, cause mine are really severe but always at night so I can't sleep. Making my last few weeks at work hell cause of the lack of sleep but will be worth it when I'm on mat leave. Just try and find ways to relax like walking around or having a bath normally helps me :) If not talk to your mw and see what they say.

hmm, may seem like a silly question but how do you know if you have braxton hicks? or will you 'just know' :P

Although saying that, I didn't know. My midwife was having a feel of my tum and suddenly she was like oh! And stopped. Then carried on again a min later and told me I just had a braxton hick. I still don't feel them, I only know I'm having one when I prod my tummy and it's freakishly hard.. I dont even feel it tightening :/ strange!

you must be pretty lucky to not get hurt by them then? when do you usually start getting them? i sometimes get like pains in my stomach, wonder if that will amount into braxton hicks?
