Hey, Ive recenty fallen pregnant again after a mc in sept last yr. internet says im about 5 w 4d clearblue says 3 weeks (obviously). I mis-carried last time because my hormones didnt rise fast enough and im petrified it will happen again. Although i was in a rather bad situation back then (bad car accident infections etc) and im completely healthy now im still panicing. Im having cramps on and off and shooting pains which i have read are all completely normal.Im eating for england and my boobs are fuller and the nipples are killing me. I have my first docs appointment on monday (doctors in my town bit on the slow side), but im scared they wont take my fear seriously. My doctors didnt deal with me when i had the mc because i was stuck abroad although i told them about everything when i returned. Also (sorry for the long thread) im a news manager by day i do alot of heavy lifting and alot of getting in and out of cars, i intend to talk to my boss about it but he is on holiday, do they have to cater for my needs eg change my roles if im unable to lift?

Sorry for going on as you can tell im rather paranoid, no one i know seems to understand as they have all had perfect pregnancies.

Sab x

Oh, honey -- take a deep breath and try to take it one day/one issue at a time!

1. whether your doctor treated you for the mc, they should be compassionate about your new pregnancy (if not, get a new doctor!)

2. congratulations on the new pregnancy! It will be a scary, anxious and difficult time, BUT the ladies on here will try our best to reassure you -- I had an mc in August 2009 and two chemicals before I got 'lucky' and whilst I was indeed VERY anxious throughout my pregnancy, my LO was born a few weeks ago, so it is possible to mentally and physically survive with a good ending!

3. as for work, they should do a risk assessment and any lifting, etc., should not be done -- however, that means you will have to confide in at least one person about your new pregnancy so that your responsiblities are modified (I did tell my overall boss at 7-8wks in case, but everybody else around 12 wks)

again, congratulations!

best wishes

thanks although everyone else says all symptoms normal im still petrified obviously lol. im gunna sound really dumb but im new to all these and dont know all the lingo whats a chemical :s. im lucky at work my mum is one of my bosses but only manager i need to talk to area manager although he will be thrilled as he knows my past cant help thinking he wont be very helpful as he dont have faith in me even tho ive worked for the company for 11years. do doctors often scan early in pregnancies after mc or just hope for the best? also just equally to add to the stress of everything my partner lives 1200 miles away and the last few days the loneliness is creeping in :(
thanks for your help x
