Does anyone else have this?

I have one picked up at my 20w scan. I have a scan at 30w to see if my placenta has moved up, fingers crossed it has.

I have been told that if its still a previa I will need a C section. Obviously I will do what needs to be done to keep the baby safe but all this talk of potential abruption and if your baby kicks the placenta it may bleed heavily..is all a bit scary. Just hoping its moved. I know position wise my baby is still transverse right now which is either an indication the previa is still there, or that its just too soon to move into a better position as its still young.

just found out at my anatomy scan yesterday (18+3 days) the I have partial placenta previa. I have a followup scan in 6 weeks to see if it resolves. so far no bleeding or complications, also have my fingers crossed it moves up. I wonder if this is normal and how common it is? and what the probabilities are that this resolves itself? good luck to you.

I think the probability of it moving up are 50:50 from what I was told. Fingers crossed.

At my 20 week scan I was told that my placenta was low, touching the OS. I have a scan in just over 3 weeks time to see if it's moved up enough. Apparently most do, though it's less likely if placenta's posterior or previa complete! I really hope mine's moved as I really don't want a c-section if I can help it! I've not had any problems like bleeding or anything though so hopefully that's a good sign!

I have not had any bleeding either. My placenta is psterior itwas with all my kids. Hope yours moves up.

I had mine discovered at 21 weeks.

12 and 16 weeks placenta was high so don't know what happened there with me.

I will be going back for another scan on Monday at 25 weeks.

I haven't had any bleeding either.

I was told at my 20 week scan yesterday that my placenta is posterior and is 14mm away from the os and they want it to be at least 4cm away. I havent had any bleeding or anything but hoping it moves cuz I had a c-section last time and wanted a vbac this time! xxx

Hope it moves for you Clo. I have a scan in a couple of weeks time to see if mine has moved. If it hasn't moved its not going to apparently.

Hope everyone's placentas move!

My scan's on Tuesday morning so I'll update you all then! I'm positive because baby seems incredibly low already and surely the head wouldn't be able to engage and disengage without causing any bleeding if the placenta was still touching the cervix!

I think my placenta has moved too. My baby is moving around the place quite a bit..but I do find it kicks quite low and like you I would think that I might have some bleeding if it was still covering my cervix. Getting pretty strong kicks etc. I have my scan july 30 so will find out pretty soon.

Good Luck with the scan.

Thanks goddess. Hope urs moves too xx

So my placenta has moved well clear of cervical os, which is great! Looks like I'm on for the natural birth I was hoping for! :happydance:

Still having another scan at 34 weeks though as baby's tummy is measuring a lower percentile than femur and baby was too low for them to get the head circumference! :dohh: Oh well, just getting to see a lot of this little one fairly late on!

Glad to hear its moved. Wonderful. I want a home birth this time around as my last birth was so great, and no need to be at hospital at all.

My scan is on Monday.

Its always nice getting to see the little ones more.
