Pcos cause pink discharge spotting even when no ovulation occurred

I had a very long cycle over two months late doctor said mild pcos and my levels from blood indicate I've ovulated and should start in a few days . I did have a normal period then mid cycle had punk when wiped presumed I'd ovulated and now period a week late.

Can pcos cause this mid cycle spotting even if you have not ovulated ?

Mid-cycle spotting can happen to anyone irrespective of having PCOS or not. It could just be old period blood which shows up sometimes a week before period or sometimes mid-cycle. I am guessing that's what it could be for you
