Hi everyone. TTC with my partner. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2009 and I had my thyroid removed following cancer diagnosis in 2011 I started having regular periods (I had about 4 periods a year prior to diagnosis due to PCOS). Then they stopped again all of a sudden in April and haven't had one since. I was diagnosed with high prolactin (3,500) which has now recently returned to normal but still haven't had a period. I also had a lap and dye last year and they said that there was minimal evidence of PCOS which was a little confusing!

I am so frustrated with not having any periods as I guess that also means I am not ovulating!! Even though I get the signs such as ovulation pains!!

My GP has agreed to refer us to the Fertility Clinic. I have PCOS and assume I will be started on Clomid. I am very anxious about it all but I am hopeful Clomid will work however I have heard it hasn't worked for others. My partner's sperm analysis is: total effective count is 62 million, motility 59% and morphology 3% (I understand this may mean his morphology is a little lower than average).

I have also recently read some really good success stories that Agnus Cactus can help with ovulation.

Would love to hear from others going through the process, any advice and would love to hear success stories. Thanks everyone!

Hello Miss scarlett!
Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about all that you've been through. I admire that you have been able to just push through it all. I don't have my bfp success story yet..... But in regards to the Agnes Castus (most places sell it as Vitex, I was looking for agnes castus FOREVER before i realized they called it something else lol). I started taking Vitex a few days before my first appt with a fertility doc because I have PCOS. Earlier this year I went 5 months without af, and my cycles can range anywhere from 35 days to 5 months. The first month that I took vitex, my cycle was 32 days and O was very obvious. The fertility doc talked about putting me on clomid so that I would know better how to time dtd. Since the vitex seemed to work for me, I decided we would give this like 6 months and if still nothing, we will go with the clomid. Good luck in whatever route you choose.

Hey hun. I have used for both Vitex and Clomid as I have PCOS. I too hadn't had a period for months. I think it was about 8 or so months without a period when I started Vitex. I eventually started my period and kept up the Vitex. I only took it for 14 days and then stopped until my period and started again. This is because Vitex can cause uterine contractions, which you don't want if you get your BFP.
After three months, I was ovulating every cycle around CD 17/18.
Once I stopped though, my cycles went right back to where they had always been.
Fast forward 3 years and OH and I went private for fertility treatment. I was given Provera (to induce my period) and Clomid 25mg. We started on the lowest he could give me to ensure he didn't overstimulate my ovaries. I ovulated on CD 13 and got my BFP at 14ddpo.

Good luck hun. I hope it all works out for you.

Xx
