Pediatric Stroke Awareness Month

Just wanted to share that May is Pediatric Stroke Awareness month. This is what happened to my daughter Brieanan last year when she was just 10 months old. Hers was caused by secondary hydrocephalus which was caused by a larger tumor, anaplastic ependymoma which only 60 kids in the whole USA were diagnosed with last year. No matter what the cause or what age it happens, 10 months or 10 years, a pediatric stroke is something that changes families lives forever. Please just keep those families that have gone through this or will go through this in your thoughts and prayers. Its something no parent should ever have to face, but it happens much more often than people think.
