Pelvic exam

Has anyone else had a cervical check and been super crampy after. I even took Tylenol and it still hurts!

Every time... I can check my own and I guess I'm gentler because never bothers me. But dang does the Midwife really get in there. 🙄😩

Right!? I think laying down makes it worse and harder to reach!

I always decline them, one sent me into labor before my body was ready with my first resulting in 3 days of nonstop contractions that never got closer together... that was awful. And they don’t really tell you anything anyway— you can walk around at 4cm dilated for weeks or be at 0 cm then dilate a lot within hours!

They dont do these in the UK til you are in labour thankfully, there's absolutely no reason for them and only cause more harm than good.

Good info ladies! I definitely won't be getting another one! Everything is fine now, but god that hurt!!
