Period whilst EBFing?

My LO is now 5 months I got my period back just before 3 months pp so far I've had two light periods with no pain. Before pregnsncy my periods were horrendous, very heavy and very painful and also irregular! I also heard that usually the first period pp is awful.
I'm just wondering whether my periods lighter now because I'm breast feeding and will they get bad again once I stop?

Mine are worse since having DD and I got mine back at 3.5m pp while EBF. They're painful, not as heavy, but I feel really run down just before, and have horrendous backache during. Eugh!

My period returned at 8 weeks pp and i EBF. They are very regular and heavy now. Worse than before baby in my opinion..

My first period since having a baby was very heavy and painful, but ever since it has been quite light and not as painful as it used to be.

My periods were pretty much like you describe your pre baby (I have endometriosis) and now they're short, light and not painful at all. It's great.

My period came back at 6w pp with DS1 and EBFing, and it was definitely less painful. Here I am, 4w pp with DS2 and EBFing, and it's starting again (can tell by flow, color, smell that it's AF and not lochia). Cramps still aren't bad, thankfully. We'll see if it's returned for good. My AF pp DS1 returned regularly and consistently starting at 6w pp.
