Posted this in 2nd Tri and got only one reply .....
Firstly HI EVERYONE thank you for reading ....
My name is Jolene and I'm about 19 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child
Our First baby was born via Emergency C-section due to fetal distress after being induced 16 hours previously , with very little progress .. Kayla Jade was born weighing a very nice 3.3 Kg on the 30th March 2001 @ 38 weeks gestation
Hubby was right there holding my hand making sure everything was okay . Have never seen a prouder dad in my life than when he was looking at our daughter.
Our second baby we knew from the beginning he would be born via C-section
Connor Scott came wailing into the word kicking and screaming weighing 3.19 Kg on the 30th of March 2006 @ 39 weeks gestation . Once again my Hubby was right there , even helping the doctors by ''pushing'' the baby out .... Cutting the cord and being able to hold our second baby .
Now here is where it gets very difficult , we are currently staying in Qatar and not one of the Hospitals here allow the Fathers to be in theater during any type of section . They all say if I have baby via a Vbac that he can be there. My Obyg back home in South Africa has a 2 strike rule and will only think about a Vbac after one C-section. To say that my OH and my sister back home who also used the same dr there are all very concerned that I might even think about a Vbac are saying I should rather stick to the scheduled planed c-section.
I feel so sad and scared to be in the theater all by myself I'm considering asking for anesthesia instead of the epi or spinal . Natural labor really scares me also ...........
Hahaha I really do not know why this long winded whine but hope that there might be someone here that has had a similar experience and can maybe give me a little encouragement would be mostly appreciated
