Why do they make things so complicated?
I've done the tax credit calculator a couple of times and it keeps coming out that we can't claim anything.
I'm looking at paying £492 for 3 days a week in a nursery, how come I can't claim. Our joint income comes to less that £60,000 a year. I read somewhere on here that you qualify if your income is below this?

No joint income has to be less than £24K to get any tax credits now x

Joint income now has to be less than 26k to get any tax credits if you have 1 child and I think 32k if you have 2 children. I know if you earn over this and pay childcare you can get help but I am not sure on the limits of this. Me and hubby will eanr 26.5k between us and if we were to put lo in a nursery we would pay £105 for 3 days and would get approx £150 per month help towards this (maybe less).
