PLEASE give your opinion ... regarding my 1st IUI

I am not of much help in this area as I am going next month as well..but I am also worried about the timing.. I am getting a trigger shot, but I am worried that I will get the IUI too late.. also what if it is on the weekend? Are the offices open for that? I know they do it all the time, I just am very worried about it as well...
hi again! i totally understand your concern! i had the same concern about my follie size and trigger shot!
in general, O day is about 24hrs after +opk (give or take 8hrs). so the day after is common (this is all from what i have gathered!). sorry no success story to give you but i have a trigger shot, then the day after i get a positive opk, then the next morning is iui.

in the schedule at all? how are the SA #'s? DH is fine so we DTD 36 hrs before IUI, then as much as we can after the IUI in case the timing of the IUI is not perfect.
as for OPK's. just remember that how concentrated your urine is will have a huge impact on the result. if you are testing and not using your first morning urine (the most concetrated of the day) try not to drink anything for 4 hrs before you test. your evening test the day you had a positive in the AM could have been positive but your urine might have been dilute. opk's are a tool but don't go crazy over them, they are not perfect.

ps try not to stress out about it too much and spend every waking second searching for info online (i did this and it was not healthy!). i know that is way easier said than done. i just kinda set myself up for a huge fall when i got a negative the first cycle because i had read so much into everything and had so much (too much) hope. and i ended up questioning everything my dr was doing because it seems every dr has different protocols!!! at some put you just have to trust your dr (this took a few cycles for me). also, i think there is a balance between hope and doubt (i haven't found it yet but i think i am getting closer).
opk's have made me crazy in the past, along with temping (one morning i threw my themometer across the room, it ended up under the dresser, where it lays right now! 
) luckly, with the trigger shot, there is no question when you O, so i don't need to use the stupid OPKs (just to get my first color change). 
the trigger shot is the same hormone the developing embie makes and is detected in pregnancy tests. it causes all the large follies to rupture. my dr says there is no question if i O or not when i use that shot. i do O. they do this so they can time IUI better and trigger O when the follies and estrogen levels are right.

what cycle day are you on again? i think i remember you saying u think iui in the very beginning of jan? looks like mine will be jan 1! a good way to start the new year
