Please help me, 7 days post partum and i think i have sciatica in so much pain!!!

The day I went to the hospital I noticed severe pain in my back when I moved my right l didnt think anything of it because the end was near and I thought for sure once the baby was out all would be gone.....well its not and it is so much more severe now!!!

My lower back (right side) is in excruciating pain when I step or move my right foot. Especially when I get up from sitting, I dont know what to do but it is making me so depressed!!!

Ladies please help me, does this sound like siatica?? If so does it happen after pregnancy, does it ever go away? I am so sad and at my wits end ((((

Try googling SPD. I get it and my hip bones sometimes get locked into weird positions that punch a nerve. There are stretches than can help. Best of luck!

Go see an osteopath. When I was pregnant I got SPD but also SI joint dysfunction, basically where one of the joints in the pelvis is out of whack. It's continued ever since (the SI dysfunction, not the SPD) and causes me pain periodically. Seeing an osteopath to have it adjusted and some soft tissue work has helped tremendously, as have certain exercises and stretches to maintain it. But I would get someone to look at it who knows something about joint physiology who can tell if something is out of place. It's very common though for a misalignment to occur in late pregnancy or during birth as it's a lot of strain on the body, particularly if you had some tight or sore muscles in that area already (which we all do towards the end of pregnancy).
