please help me im ttc

hey all,
this is my first post here. My husband and I are ttc for 2 months now. Last week i noticed a brown line going from my belly button down and when i googled i noticed its called linea nigra. It also said that it appears during mid pregnancy or sometimes even early. But today I got heavy cramps and got my periods.. Now i dont know why that line appeared all of a sudden n how did i get my periods if thats a pregnancy line?? very confused please help me

From what I gathered from Googling, it's possible for this line to appear when not pregnant. I read that more than likely, hormones are the reason for it to appear. A woman's hormone levels can rise and fall naturally. Do you have darker skin? From what I found, it's more than likely going to happen to people with darker skin tones.

All of that information came off of google and the internet, so I can't verify that it's right. It may disappear whenever your period stops.
