Please Help opinions on a middle name

Ok firsty off we are keeping our babies first name a secret until hes born but i need some opinions on a middle name.

I thought it might be a good idea to have my ohs dads name as our babies middle name. I really think its a great idea but my oh is worrying that the name is an 'old persons name' so i thought id ask for opinions from people on here to help him out.

The name is Phillip (goes well with first name btw)

I don't think it's an old man's name at all. It's not very common these days which makes it sound more unique. Good luck!

Well that's one of my sons middle names too ' Oscar michael Philip Limer' This also was because of family . Philip was my Dad . I don't think it's old fashioned as it has sentimental reasons xx

I think an "old persons name" as a middle name is fine.
Usually when you hear them you assume it was because they were named after someone.

My DHs middle names are Charles Walter after his 2 grandfathers. Walter is very old person sounding to me and its fine

All of my children have middle names after family members, I think its a lovely gesture to your father in law . ps: If Maddie had been a boy we would have had Arthur as a middle name, thats a lot more 'old fashioned' than Phillip. xx

Our son will have my fil's middle name too, Marcel. I think that's kinda old-ish, but Phillip isn't old to me either and I think its a nice gester for your fil! Lindsey's middle name is Sandra after my mum
