Can I draw everyones attention to an amendment in our forum rules:

https://www.babyandbump.com/rules
Solicitation or propositions of surrogacy, adoption or sperm donorship using the forums, private messages, or signatures features is strictly prohibited.

If you see anyone (especially new sign ups) using the forum to offer sperm donations, please use the report button so we can deal with it.

Regards,
The BnB Team

I was wondering why this had been added to the rules? As it's hard for us to find donors..I'm assuming it's just as hard for men wanting to be a donor to find potential women to donate to? When we were looking for our donor, we advertised on general classified websites..if anything, potential donors contacting us willing to donate would be a good thing? Especially if they are specifically looking for women to donate to, rather than 100 random men replying to an ad they found on a website when they were looking for something else and put 'lesbian' in the search box, and found our ad wanting a donor to start a family.

We have already had several threads started by donors (luckily most stopped by the spam filter) whos ads read like a personals listing in the back of 'The Sport', insisting that they only use NI. BnB isn't equipped to act as a middleman for something this specialist. There are forums out there (at least one that I know of) that are oriented towards providing this kind of service.

It's something that can get out of hand, and it isn't fair to add more workload to what the mods already do.

For people that are looking for donors, you should visit a site called Free-Sperm-Donations.com

Here you have to pay a monthly charge to contact donors but you can chat to donors in your area, most of whom have paperwork to say they have been thoroughly tested, and build up a 'relationship' before you do 'the deed'

My partner and I used this site to find our donor who was lovely, gave us plenty of advice and helped us successfully conceive first time. Best part is, once you start chatting with someone on the site, you can swap email addresses then chat via email rather than the site which means you can cancel your monthly subscription saving you money :)

Hope this isnt too off topic and that others may find this helpful. If anyone needs anymore advice, feel free to PM me :)

This is going silly of me.. But so wrong with donors showing on this page..
Just curious??

Too much paperwork and stuff in it. And then if something happens that someone might try to hold the website liable for what they allowed on it.

As a donor from time to time myself. I have to admit that the policy does seem a little odd. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have a section for donors and such and have it restricted to that area?

Can I just confirm can we post if personally using a sperm donor? Or is this something we aren’t allowed to talk about at all
