Hi all, I had the BT 250 monitor for DD1 but is had several issues and even after several replacements it has given up. I've just bought a motorola MBP13 from Argos from DD2 but I really don't like that the sound doesn't stay on, it goes off unless she gets to a certain volume. I'm considering returning it so am looking for some recommendations, preferably under £50.

I'm not bothered about a video monitor but I like something with clear sound, where I can hear baby constantly. I like a display with temperature and nightlight, just to save having to have these separate. I have notice a couple of video monitors on offer at argos however they are BT and motorola, both makes I have had issues with. So can anyone recommend anything I'd be grateful.

We have the Motorola MBP43-2 with 2 monitors and it works really well. Very clear audio and good video. I would recommend it!

I got an angelcare monitor with a sensor pad for £35 second hand. It only plays sounds when there is a sound detected, but the sensor pad gives me way more reassurance that she is breathing than a sound monitor would.

We have the summer infant baby monitor with two receivers. It works very well and we have had it since she was born.

Pricey but excellent! We have used out every single day for over 4 years (only because untill dd 2 came along we were still using it just to hear and speak to dd1 and tell her to go back to sleep if she woke in the night to save us getting out of bed to tell her lol)
Still working perfectly and never had any problems with it

Mines was like the above one but without video. This is mines (its £75 new)

We have an older model of this Motorola video monitor and it seriously is the best. We've had it going on 4 years now and it still works perfectly. We have dual cameras so whenever we have another LO, we can switch back and forth between DS and LO #3. It's seriously amazing.

Thanks all. I definitely don't fancy one with a mat but um starting to wonder about a video one purely because dd2 is an exceptionally light sleeper and will soon go into her own room. Do you think this is worth s go https://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/4551713.htm

To me that one looks good. As long as it has night vision then it's perfect! I did not get to see if it could access the internet or not? I would recommend staying away from a wifi connected monitor.
