Please take poll! Belly shape and sex of baby.

Hi Ladies.

I am team yellow but now everyone keeps telling me they think I am having a girl based on my shape. I know most of these old wives tales are really all just 50/50 guesses but I'm curious if there is any pattern for those of you that know the sex.

I think this only applies to single babies so I didn't really include an option for multiples except "other."

If you select "other," please explain why in the comments. Thanks!

Also if you have other children already you could comment about your shape and baby's sex in previous pregnancies as well. Thanks!

Out of all the midwife tales, the how you carry is the only one that was right for me. With my daughter I carried her high and all over. With this one I am carrying lower and all out in front and it's a boy.

Strangers ask me all the time if I am having a boy because I'm carrying low and out front. I'm not sure I buy in, but I am carrying a boy.

I didn't include the high/low variants because I didn't want to over complicate things but it is interesting to hear.

Of all the women at my prenatal yoga class, all the ones who look like me (high and spread all over) are having girls except for one. She was a much larger woman to begin with so I think that may contribute to how her weight is distributing.

If you said in the poll that you are spread all over and you are having a boy, do you mind sharing if you had a wide midsection/bit of a belly to begin with? If that is too personal, forgive me - just curious if that has anything to do with it.

With my 1st he was a boy... and he was high and all over.
with my 2nd she was a girl... she was very low and in one spot

With this one... I'm high and in one spot.

I cant really do the poll because I am team yellow also. I am getting told it is a girl. Most are saying that it is because of the way I am carrying. One person who is saying girl is saying it because of the heartbeat.

My bump is big and spread all over and has been the same way for both my boy pregnacy and the girls too...I also carry high for both sexes so for me the wives tale wasnt true lol xxx

Im spread all over, and having a girl I think your height plays into it a little, while my bump measures normal it looks smaller, as im tall @ 5"10. I also have hyperemesis so my weight gain has been minimal!
