Poo. How often at 9 weeks old?

I've had to put LO on Comfort milk as SMA blocked him, he still has a carton of the premix at night tho. When I switched him he started going for a poo at least once a day but now for the last fortnight he has gone every 2 days, and whilst it's not hard poo, it's a bit clay like. Do they go less often with age or is it something I should bring up at the docs?

Different babies, different timescales. If it's not bothering him then every 2 days is fine. You could try a few sips of cool boiled water here and there if you want.

Yeah I've been giving him water but has made no difference... We'll see how this week goes

It keeps changing. Omar used to go once every day or every other day, Then he started to go twice. Since we started solids he goes 2-3 times. Babies r different.

My son has always been every third day. That's what normal for him. He has loads of wet nappies etc so I know he's not dehydrated and I do give him a bit of cooled boiled water occasionally too. So as long as they're not showing any signs of constipation (straining, looking uncomfortable etc) I wouldn't worry.

Thanks all, he does strain but I think it's wind and what my husband calls 'prickly' farts!!!!

ive got a lil boy couple of days younger hun an he gose once evey 2days as ppl say as long as they are sufferin being constipated i wouldnt worry but offer plenty of boiled water coiled as this help to sofen if they are xxx

Hi there my son was on SMA and he poo`d once a day and it was thick and dark green he was very colicy durring evening times so i`v recently changed to Cow & Gate and he goes twice a day and its yellow and much more runnyier and he is less colicy xx

Sometimes she goes twice a day! Most the time just once a day.
