Pos opk while on bc, missed pills please help

I started birth control a full month ago, and I completely forgot that on this new one, I can only get a refill every month instead of three months, so I forgot that I needed a refill until the day I was supposed to start my new pack, then the next day the pharmacy was closed when I got off work. I finally got it after missing three days and started taking it on Wednesday Oct 30th. I went out of town this weekend and forgot my pills. Yesterday I had a very increased sex drive and felt a lot of white CM. Today I have been crampy and had lots of clear CM and just felt wet all day, exhausted, and had a headache. I had some OPKs left at home from a few months ago and I took one just to see and it was a blaring (or what I think to be) positive. I have never gotten a positive before with first response so I am shocked and a little confused. Today is CD 14. I know that it's possible to have a LH surge and not ovulate because LH is always in your body, but is it possible to have such a big surge while on birth control?? Especially since I have never gotten a positive before. PLEASE HELP?!

Hey I didn't want to R&R but it could have happened that u did actually ovulate. I know with BC pills from what I have seen n heard - if u miss pills it can increase ur fertility. I don't know how fact it is but it happened to myself and my BF that she n I (not at the same time of course) became pregnant during some course if BC. I would ask ur dr but based on ur symptoms n the test I'd say u did ovulate.

That's kind of what I am thinking. I got pregnant with my first a week after coming off of BC pills. I just was forgetful this time and didn't expect it to happen.

I would get a pregnancy test before continuing any bc pills and use condoms for a few weeks.

Yes- I would do a HPT as well- and then just use a back up plan- but im pretty sure from the sounds you did ovulate- let us know how it all works out for you! xoxo

I took another test today after I got home from work and it was once again blaring positive. I think I'll wait until next week to take an HPT, but I have stopped taking my BC just in case!

I THINK cysts can give fall positives. From my sister experience from few years ago. She was on bc pills to stop cysts and stopped the one pill to switch to another and was opk testing to avoid pregnancy(also using condoms) and she was getting positives. Not sure if that was just her experience or what. But she has PCOS and often gets cysts that burst on own.
