Hi everyone. I'm brand new to the forum. This is my first post. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant now or not. I took an Early Response test on Sunday and it had a very faint positive second line. Not satisfied with the faint line, I bought a Clear Blue Easy on Monday and got a very, very faint blue plus sign. Yesterday, I bought an Early Response digital reader and got a "Yes" which I took as good news. Two hours later, I took a urine test at the Dr's office and the result was negative. So I'm not sure whats going on. I'm waiting on blood test results. Fingers crossed. My last period began on the 29th of April. I'm hoping its not an early miscarriage. I haven't had any bleeding, but who knows. If it is, we'll just keep trying. We're both very excited about being parents.

Correction: In my first post, I called the test "Early Response." Its actually called "First Response"

Can you upload any of your tests? fingers crossed!! x

I didn't save them. The digital one was straightforward. It displays a "yes" or a "no". In this case, there was a "Yes". The First Response and Clear Blue ones were very faint, but they definately had a second pink/blue line indicating positive.

I'm concerned that some tests are positive while the Dr. test is negative. Its been 42 days since my last period. At this point, I'm thinking there should be a consistent negative or positive. Thats why I'm thinking maybe a miscarriage? However, this is my first, so I'm really not sure.

Not sure but some dr office urine tests r not as sensitive as hpt..if u r testing reasonably early that might be why. Get blood work. Good luck!

I would agree, best to get a blood test as occasionally urine tests don't work for some people.

Good luck x

Well the thing is that even a faint second line is supposed to mean a positive test.... But i have heard of people who went to the doctors for a urine test and it kept coming back negative and the blood tests came back positive. So good luck!!!

HCG Intact=6.25 MIU/ML

Got the blood test results, but haven't spoken to my Dr. about the results yet. I'm guessing the home pregnancy test I took yesterday that came up positive required at least 25 MIU/ML. That means the numbers are going down.... :brat:

We were sooooo close, but it looks like it wasn't meant to be this month. :sad2:

We'll keep trying.

:( sorry to hear that. That is why they say most women should wait to test for over a month because it is common to have miscarriage early on. My sister did that and then found out in month 2 that she had a miscarriage a couple weeks after she was at the doctor.
Maybe next month will be your month!

I agree. We waited until week 5 (counting from 1st day of last period) to test. For next time, we've discussed waiting until week 7 (day 49) to test. Also, I think we'll be using a less sensitive home pregnancy test next time. The tests we used measured 25+. At this point, I don't want to know if my HCG is less than 50. The stress isn't worth it.

Thank you everyone for your support. I'm glad I found this forum.

Im sorry to hear that you had to go thru that. Was that considered a chemical pregnancy?
Good luck
