Positive OPK...and sick

For the first time since AUGUST I have a true positive OPK. It's not fake. It's not false. There is even eggwhite. For the first time in almost half a year I COULD get pregnant.

But the OH and I have a virus, at present, and I can't stop feeling/being sick and he can't stop...well, other things that you can imagine. So, BD is completely out of the question for tonight at least.

It only turned positive this evening. Was completely negative this morning.

You reckon I'll be alright doing it tomorrow? Have had this virus for three days, now, but today it has been the worst. Am hoping tomorrow will be a bit better. We haven't done it for ages...

yay! Is their no way on earth that you two could bd tonight?

I'm not an OPk expert lol but as its only just turned positive I'm sure it would be fine to bd tomorrow. Or set your alarm for like 4am and try it then lol.

any chance of a 'turkey baster' incident? if there is then i would definitely go for it tonight and again tomorrow chick - they say 12-36 hours after the positive OPK so go! go! go!

If the clomid is working then there is always next month if not chick - just get well xx

no worries sweetie ...you have time even doing it tomorrow ...don't panic specially if you opk was blank this morning ...usually it 's said a positive opk will mean ovulation can happen in the next 12hours to 36 hours

Well, since he has been in the bathroom on/off all evening and I have already thrown up twice I don't think it'd be physically possible...unless I want him running out in the middle of it or me throwing up on him...

Am no longer on Clomid. It did fuck all for me and this is the first time I have ovulated in months - ironically the month I COME OFF it.

Turkey Baster would work if Other Half was not half dead and unable to even rouse a smile, let alone get it up. it's simply no go tonight.

Yeah but OH is sick as a dog too and does not want to be touched. That is the problem. If it was just me, great. But he is 'dying' too and does not feel well enough to 'get busy' to so speak.

I know. It has been so long since it has been truly positive that it just really irks me that it happens when neither of us could do anything.

I normally ovulate the day after so if we do it in the morning then we shoudl be okay, right?

Bloody typical - you finally manage to ovulate and you're not well. Fingers crossed you feel better in the morning and can manage to get jiggy with hubby. Go to bed and get some sleep ready for some tomorrow ...

If the + happened this afternoon, you should be able to catch the egg tomorrow. Hope you (and your DH) feel better!

Thanks all. Felt a bit better this morning at about 7am (hehe 7am on a Saturday wtf) so we did it then. I still have the abdominal cramping. Going to do an OPK in a minute to see what it looks like because when mine are TRULY positive they are positive within a minute. These ones last night were positive but took the full ten minutes to turn that way. If It goes positive straight away I know I have not missed it.

Was supposed to be having a month off this month but got so excited that it turned positive that it doesnt look like that is happening.

Sounds like you got it in time ... my Dr has said that generally O happens 12-36h after a + opk .. sometimes longer.
