possible allergy to strawberries? worried...

Little man is ten months and this is his second or third go at strawberries and hes got a red rash around his mouth and neck. Its fading away slowly and i can remember hes had it before but i thought nothing of it... now im worried. Should i stop giving them to his altogether?

I would and wait until he's over 12 month and try again. Dh gave our lo hi first strawberry and I was on pins as have heard of people being allergic.

sounds like a minor allergy. red fruits are actually terrible culprits of reactions in babies under 12 months. i had no idea about this when i weaned my son and he had them at 6months. after his 2nd taster a few weeks apart his face swelled up and he came out in an awful rash! we avoided all red berries until he was over a year and he was fine after that. x
