So I have a pretty unique condition called 'Uterus Didelphys' which basically means I have 2 complete sets of reproductive organs, 2 uterus's, 2 cervix's. I had my son by elective c-section mainly on the advice of my doctor that my womb wouldn't contract well because it's a different shape than normal and it was 'safer'. He was also concerned my whole pregnancy I would have him early as I have a smaller uterus than most and he assumed it wouldn't hold out. Never the less I had an uneventful pregnancy and carried my son up until my elective c-section with no problems whatsoever.
While I'm fine with the fact I had a c-section, thinking back I don't think it was really necessary and wish I would have been encouraged to try to birth naturally. I've decided to have a vaginal birth for my next baby and attempt either a VBAC or if I get pregnant in my 2nd uterus technically it won't be a VBAC as it wasn't the pregnant womb last time. Crazy right? My only real concern is that my son was pretty big, 9.4lbs! I am nervous about having another big baby and it preventing me from having a natural birth. Does anyone know the chances of having another big baby? I didn't eat well during my pregnancy with my son and I gained a lot of weight, close to 50lbs. My mother told me I'm at greater risk of having an even bigger baby as apparently each baby is bigger than the last and it won't matter if I eat healthily and exercise throughout pregnancy. Can someone tell me if this is true or not?
Sorry for the novel, just thought some back story could be helpful :)

My son was 10lbs 14oz and my daughter, who is the younger, was 9lbs 3.5oz. Second babies are not always bigger and there are tons of factors that influence weight. I did less exercise in my second pregnancy and probably ate a little more as I wasn't as sick in the beginning.

DS was 9lb 15oz, my midwife told me its more likely that I'll have a largish baby this time compared to a woman who's had a smaller baby before but by no means a given. My mum had 4 children, 1st was over 9lb, 2nd and 3rd were 7lb something, last was about 10lbs. She did the same things and ate the same with all of us. My midwife said that girls are likely to have lower birth weights than boys but I don't know how scientific that is!
