Possibly IUI #2 this upcoming cycle

Ok, So are my chances getting better the more iui's I undergo? My husband & I are basically dealing with unexplained infertility. His counts aren't great but they are not considered low. Last IUI I did was with clomid (50) and a trigger shot & BFN. anyone have any advise on IUI's at all? I feel like this is hopeless..TTC for about 17 months now

Also will I still be on the same dose of clomid? I've noticed that people tend to get a higher and higher dose?

I think I've heard that if you don't have a BFP within your 1st 3 IUIs, chances go down a bit for the next 3. I went through 6 of them last year and none of them worked for me (was on injectables with all 6), got AF every time. We also have unexplained infertility (I'm 36, DH is 38 BTW).

I'd say if you get BFNs with your first 3 IUIs, it may be worth it to start looking into IUIs with injectables for 3-4 tries, then IVF if still no luck.

As for your Clomid dosage, you should ask your RE what his/her plans are with that. But yes, I think many do gradually up the dosage each time (never tried Clomid myself as I was put on injectables from the get go).
