I have had some major surgery's and always wore really loose sweats one of my previous scars is identical to a c-section and my doctor said they will just go over it again when taking him out. It was winter months those times, it will be early July and likely pretty hot out so sweats will probably not work! I thought of a dress but with bleeding I dont think I would be comfortable in case I bleed through or something! Any ideas or what did you wear or plan to wear post C-section!?

When I had DS he was an august baby, I wore my over bump leggings afterward with vest tops and loose tshirts, plan on doing a similar thing with this one. Even bought a black maxi skirt and a maternity maxi dress so they'll be quite comfy for swelling etc

I also had a summer baby, and wore a maxi dress (just get a cheap one that isn't super light colored and then if it gets ruined you don't have to worry about it. That being said, I never got any of my clothes dirty so not sure it's such a big concern).

I also had some roll-top yoga pants (and shorts) that weren't horribly annoying, but the dress was waaay better. I hate dresses, but they really are the best. Really anything near my incision was irritating for months, so I wore whatever was comfy around the house and just sucked it up when I went out so I could look 'normal.' You can put some extra cloth against the incision to pad it in the early days which helps with rubbing. I never wore over-the-bump maternity pants/shorts, as I hated them, so can't comment on whether those would be helpful or not. The under-the-bump ones will definitely rub afterwards! I wore them anyway, but I was constantly hiking them up and away from the incision, especially when sitting.

I had my cs on Wednesday and have been living in maxi dresses.

My fiance bought me a maternity maxi shirt yesterday its the most comfy thing I've ever put on, I will have to get a maxi dress and see how I like it! I feel even my yoga shorts will put to much pressure on it at least for the 1st week! Thanks for sharing your experiences :)

I'm in a hot climate and wore maxi dresses, high waisted leggings and high waisted yoga pants. My bleeding was pretty minimal after a couple of days.

I wore yoga pants...not too helpful as it was January!

But an awesome tip...I stuck a sanitary pad in the front of my undies to cushion the incision a little. lifesaver!

I just wore leggings a couple of sizes bigger than my usual and a long loose top.

I figure I'll buy a maxi dress for pregnancy that I can use for afterwards to at least try, I have lots of maternity leggings I just was thinking if I got sweaty! I think I'll go buy some yoga shorts but an extra size up so they fit loose all of mine fit snuggly! Thanks for your help!

DD is an October baby, so not the same for outerwear, but as far as undies went I found my husband's boxer shorts totally amazing after my cs. Very airy, waistband high enough to be nowhere near the scar and didn't compress my still very large bump, but close-fitting enough for a pad.

I did this too!

leggings/ loose shirts or maxi dresses last time. :)

I wore fold-over skirts and my maternity pants. Neither caused any discomfort.

I had a Florida baby so always hot here. :haha:

I just wore dresses mostly. Really loose, soft pants too. Nightgowns or DH's shirts as I mostly just stayed in bed, lol.

Ive just brought some more slighyly bigger leggings today so they arnt tight round my scar and i also have a couple of soft maxi dresses that would be comfortable, im also going to take some comfy jogging bottoms into hospital x

My baby is 7 weeks now and I'm still struggling with clothes. My cut isn't painful but the area between my tummy button and my cut is very sensitive and the the thought of wearing certain clothes next to it still brings tears to my eyes. I've been living in leggings and trackie bottoms whereas my normal wardrobe was always skirts and tights

Same her I wore dresses and tunics with maternity cropped leggings. My last was August so hot weather this time it's June 29th so will be warm again.

Had my first via c-section in August '13. I'll be honest and say I pretty much lived in my hubby's boxers inside the house for the first little while! After that it was loose shorts and anything loose over the tummy pretty much.

Sker, I'm in his boxers currently haha! There comfy!

Thanks for everyone suggestions, I bought another maxi skirt and they sure do feel amazing while pregnant so I think they will be helpful after as many of you have shared! Only a few weeks to go!
