post labour infection??

so they tell you to watch out for signs of infection down there...

i havnt noticed any weird bleeding or yellow discharge... i hate to say this but it smells, it smells like a damn outhouse. ive never experienced this and i dont know what to do. i shower every day, i still use the squirt bottle at every pee... so how do i know if this is an infection or not??? what kind of test would the dr run? any help is greatly appreciated. i am so embaressed that my vagina smells so bad, i think more or less its the blood that smells bad. i have minor cramping too.

I had a peice of retained placenta come out when my baby was 15 days old and my bleeding smelled really bad...like rotting garbage. I just got back from my drs and i have an infection. She just took a swab and looked at it under the microscope.

i lost a chunk of something yesterday and now it doesnt seem to smell so bad but my back is aching and crampy in front. i will have to get checked out.

HEY! I had the same thing. It smelled HORRIBLE!

I called the midwife and they said it was normal. I forget why its normal but, yeh..

Long time ago it seems.

It "could" be an infection so, just give them a call. Everyone's body is different.
