Just experienced my 5th miscarriage in 2.5 years

I had d&c last Wednesday 29th and had hardly any bleeding. Have had some pressure and pain down below the last 48 hours whigh I don't think is unusual from previous losses. I usually wait until I have AF them ttc on next cycle...however I am considering just cracking on straight away.

My question is that I usually use ovulation sticks to pinpoint approx OV but when would you expect to ovulate? Does the day of the miscarriage count as CD1? Therfore count from there???? Thank you x

Ive always counted the first day of bleeding as cd1, but ive never had a D&C so I have no idea what amount of bleeding is normal with that.

I think it depends what gestation your loss is. With my earlier losses i ovulated round normal time, but with my late losses, I bled for weeks and weeks and so ovulation was delayed a lot. Sorry you're going through this x

Yeah after I posted I realised that the gestation probably had an impact. This time I was 6w 5d (though thought I was 8 weeks) so will hopefully drop quicker. Previous 2 x d&cs were 9 weeks

Just sit tight and see what happens I guess. Just got a positive hpt 7 days after d&c but think that's normal

So sorry for your loss. :/ Ovulation tends to vary for everyone. Some ovulate on track, others miss an ovulation for the first cycle. D&C vs natural can also affect it. I naturally miscarried back in September at 10 weeks and I didn't get my first AF until 8 weeks later, and I showed "ovulation signs" almost the entire time but I didn't actually ovulate, my body was just hormonally out of whack.

have you had testing to determine if there's a cause to the multiple miscarriages?

I wish you tons of babydust and hope you ovulate quickly

Yeah I've had thyroid, hormones, autoimmune tests, clotting, karyotying, scans, hubby had sperm analysis. We have a daughter who is 4....second month ttc. I am however now 43 so presuming that it main issue. I fall pregnant easy ish (according to consultant) but obviously miscarrying now...egg age I guess.
Anyway last loss before this was natural mc on holiday so no tests on foetus done. I await results of this foetus being cytogenetically tested xx
